Breast Cancer / Screening Mammography
Breast cancer is the most common cancer in women and the second leading cause of cancer death for women in the United States. Periodic screening mammography has been shown to save lives by detecting breast cancer early, when it is most treatable.In FMQAI’s continued efforts to support Health Information Technology (HIT) and care management processes, FMQAI is collaborating with healthcare professionals to utilize their electronic health record (EHR) systems to improve mammography screening rates. FMQAI will assist health care providers to set target screening rates, establish protocols, utilize reminders, report data, and analyze results to improve patient care through early detection via mammography screening.
